Background

We are delighted to invite you to the launch of a new suite of resources on practice-based knowledge (PbK) — a comprehensive guide designed for those working in childhood sexual violence (CSV) prevention and response

This new suite of resources includes:

  1. The role of practice-based knowledge in preventing and responding to childhood sexual violence: Background paper
  2. Using practice-based knowledge to prevent and respond to childhood sexual violence: Guidance framework
  3. Frequently asked questions on practice-based knowledge

Together, these resources emphasize why PbK is critical in CSV prevention and response. They support practitioners to gather and apply real-world insights gained through experience, reflection, and adaptation — complementing formal research and strengthening evidence-informed action.

Date: Tuesday, 9 December 2025. To make the launch accessible across time zones, we’re hosting two live sessions:

  • 9:00 AM GMT | 10:00 AM CET | 12:00 PM EAT | 2:30 PM IST: Register here
  • 11:00 AM EST | 4:00 PM GMT | 7:00 PM EAT | 9:30 PM IST: Register here
